Neely Dominates USAC Sprints in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin.

BROWNSBURG, IN (May 8, 2005)

- Mat Neely, driver of the K&N Motorsports-owned No. 6 Low Voltage Solutions/Maverick Energy Twister/Gaerte, earned his first career USAC sanctioned race in the league's midget/sprint doubleheader held at Raceway @ Powercom Park.

Starting from the outside of the first row, Neely took the lead in the first lap and never looked back. After the race, Mat was even a little surprised, "I couldn't believe it, to beat the people we beat is amazing" adding, "it goes to show how strong this team is, and we wouldn't be here without the support of Don [Kruse], Larry [Neely], and Jeff [Reinoehl]."

The win is the first for the K&N Motorsports team, in only their third USAC race since the partnership was formed between Don Kruse (St. Louis) and Larry Neely (Robinson, IL). Mat has been happy with the team's performance to-date, "I have a lot of extra confidence [this year], to know the car is capable of winning and that it is perfect is very comforting."

Olney, IL native Levi Jones shadowed Neely for the majority of the race, and finished second. He was followed by Dave Darland, Darren Dagen, and Jerry Coons, Jr. to round out the top-five.

The win places Neely third in the Valvoline USAC Sprint Car standings. He trails Dave Darland by 8 points, and defending series champion Jay Drake by 13 points.

K&N Motorsports and the Valvoline USAC Sprint Car series now head to the Terre Haute Action Track (THAT) for the 35th running of the "Tony Hulman Classic" on May 14.
