Female racers gearing up for 2005

Move over guys because the female racer boom is getting bigger and bigger by the day!

A female behind the wheel is nothing new. We have seen many turn a wheel at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway which include: Janet Guthrie , Lyn St. James , and Sarah Fisher.

And now with the emergence of Indy Racing League hottie Danica Patrick , we have seen a lot of doors open for lady racers.

Enter Jenna Frazier and Ashley Swanson.

Frazier resides in Fairfield , California where she spent her time as a 125 cc shifter kart racer.

This 18 year old former Kart Champion will make her debut this season racing a Stealth/Ford Focus midget.

She will enter all of the pavement races and also 6 to 10 dirt shows.

Jenna is one of today’s rising stars of the sport and should be a contender in USAC competition in 2005.

Wildomar , California’s Ashley Swanson has been turning right to go left since 2001. Modified midgets , California Lightening Sprints , and USAC Ford Focus midgets have been the path she has chosen thus far.

Last year , Ashley posted 5 heat wins and 1 feature victory while racing a limited USAC Ford Focus schedule.

This season she will be running the USAC Western States Midget Series.

The plan is to race 11 dirt races throughout 2005.
